【GAICA】Can I use the card for shopping inside Japan?
It can be used at Visa affiliated stores in Japan.
• The only currency that can be used in Japan is the Japanese yen. Your balance of foreign currencies such as USD, etc. cannot be used in Japan.
• When using the card in Japan, no foreign-exchange fees will be incurred.
* We ask customers who have a GAICA card issued before the product revision on June 26, 2017 (Monday) to please change their domestic shopping credit limit amount before using the card in Japan. As of the product revision on June 26, 2017 (Monday), the domestic shopping credit limit amount is zero (0) yen. Please set the amount you want to be able to use at the Member-Only Site . If you leave the setting at zero (0) yen, you will not be able to use the card for shopping in Japan.
